What you’ll take away
- Review the calculation and discount rule before concentrating on the interface.
- Test the values immediately below, at, and above a threshold.
- Check saved drafts and exported data alongside the live screen.
Challenge the plan before the build
The quote builder gives the task a concrete calculation and a narrow set of user actions. Read an implementation plan for its assumptions: which inputs change the total, when the discount applies, and what a saved draft includes. Antigravity’s documentation describes reviewing and commenting on that plan. Use the review to correct the behavior before it spreads across the interface.
Make the boundary an explicit case
The episode’s 9, 10, and 11 unit examples sit around a discount threshold. Checking all three exposes an off-by-one rule that an ordinary quantity might hide. Immediate input updates also matter: a correct formula is not useful if the displayed total remains stale while someone edits. Pair each action with the result the user should see.
Follow the record beyond the visible total
An empty or invalid input needs a clear state. A saved draft must restore the intended values, and a JSON export must preserve the same meaningful data. Inspect those paths separately from visual design. A readable layout helps people understand the quote, while the calculation, restoration, and export checks establish different parts of its behavior.
Use the example as a review method
The service rates and records are fictional, and the app was prepared for the tutorial. No real billing, payment, tax calculation, or customer workflow is shown. The green checks cover the defined teaching cases; they do not establish that Antigravity generated the app or that a production quoting system is ready to use.
